Mark D. Cronenwett joined the firm in October 2012 and serves as the Managing Attorney of the firm’s Litigation Section. Mark has 30 years of experience in mortgage-lending litigation; general commercial litigation; general insurance defense and appellate law. Prior to joining the firm, Mark was a Shareholder at Cowles & Thompson, P.C. and Higier Allen & Lautin, P.C. Mark is admitted to the Texas State Bar, Fifth Circuit, and all Texas Federal District Courts.

Mark earned a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature at the University of Dallas and his Juris Doctorate from the Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.

Mark is actively engaged in his community where he presently serves on the Irving City Council.  Previously, he chaired the Planning and Zoning Commission, the 2019 Bond Commission, the Tax Increment Funding District No. 1.  He has also served on the Boards of the Irving YMCA, La Buena Vida Foundation, and the White Rose Women’s Center. Mark served as the President of the St. Thomas More Society in Dallas.

Mark frequently speaks at conferences for Financial Services Litigation, addressing legal trends in the industry and litigation strategy.
