Sarah McDaniel is a native Arkansan and received a B.B.A. in Finance from the University of Central Arkansas and a Juris Doctor from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, William H. Bowen School of Law. Sarah began practicing law in 2012, and her practice has focused on bankruptcy matters since 2013. She joined MWZM in 2014 and has represented mortgage creditors in a variety of consumer and business bankruptcies for nearly a decade.

Sarah is licensed in Arkansas and Tennessee and admitted to practice in the Eastern and Western Districts of Texas. In 2019, Sarah was promoted to Senior Attorney, and she was promoted to Managing Attorney for the firm’s Arkansas and Tennessee bankruptcy practice in 2021. On October 30, 2023, she was unanimously voted in as a Shareholder of MWZM.

Sarah is an active member of the legal community and mortgage industry and has served in many leadership positions at the local, state, and national level. She is a member of the Debtor Creditor Bar of Central Arkansas, the Arkansas Bar Association, the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees, the American Legal and Financial Network, and numerous sub-committees of these organizations.

In 2021, Sarah joined a select group of young professionals and was chosen as a recipient of the American Legal and Financial Network’s JPEG Picture the Future Award. This award recognizes those impacting the mortgage industry through education, volunteerism, and continued leadership. She was also awarded the Continuing Legal Education award by the Arkansas Bar Association in 2021 for her efforts in planning the Association’s 24th Annual Debtor Creditor Conference.

She is committed to educating other practitioners and the firm’s clients about the bankruptcy process. Sarah enjoys helping others succeed and is committed to the advancement of the mortgage industry through the education and mentorship of young professionals.

Sarah currently lives in Conway, Arkansas with her husband, Dusty McDaniel, and their daughter, Georgia. She loves the outdoors and spends as much time as possible with her family exploring the beautiful scenery of The Natural State.
